PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — A home in Portage suffered mostly smoke damage Sunday when a dryer caught fire on Sunday 6700 block of Robinswood Street.
The first truck on the scene spotted smoke coming from the roof.
They were able to enter the home and knock down the fire in about ten minutes, but not before it caused about $6,500 damage to the home and its contents.
Battalion Chief Rick Nason said there were no injuries.
