KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for a bearded suspect who attacked a woman who was taking a shower in her apartment early Saturday morning.
It happened about 1:30 a.m. at the Arboretum Apartments in the 1100 block of Ivy Chase on the west side of Kalamazoo, just off Michigan Avenue. She was confronted and apparently defended herself with enough ferocity to send the suspect fleeing.
The suspect was described as a heavy-set white male in his early 20s. He had dark facial hair and the hair on his head may have been pulled back into a bun.
He is wanted for home invasion and possibly other charges.
There had been a report of a window peeper a week before in a neighboring apartment complex, but it’s not known if the two events are connected.
Police are urging people to keep their doors locked.
