GRAND JUNCTION (WKZO-AM) — Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a brazen daylight burglar who may have broken into three homes in the Grand Junction area early Saturday afternoon.
The male suspect was spotted by one of the victims, an elderly woman, after he had broken in through her front door. She yelled at him and he immediately retreated to the silver four-door hatchback, where a driver was waiting and they sped away.
A short time later, a second call about a burglary came from someone who had just returned to find that their home had been robbed. There was also a third reported burglary that is under investigation.
The suspect is a male wearing all black clothing with a thin build. He is reportedly 155 pounds and 5-foot-10.
The getaway car could have been a Ford Focus or Escort, investigators said.
Those with more information are urged to contact the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at (269) 657-2006.
