THREE RIVERS (WKZO-AM) — A Three Rivers Bible Church pastor has resigned amid allegations that he used his church position to coerce an 18-year-old female member of his congregation into a sexual relationship.
James Bailey Jr., 66, is free on bond after being charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors claim the incidents were consensual and occurred in April and May.
Bailey began counseling the alleged victim when she was 16.
He had been the full-time senior pastor at the church since 2009.
