OSHTEMO (WKZO-AM) — The alleged home invaders who were chased from a burgled home directly to Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies in the Darlington Trail neighborhood on Friday have been formally charged.
There were over a half-dozen other burglaries in that same area that night. Detectives are investigating to see if the trio may have been involved in those and other crimes.
A homeowner was awakened by their barking dog and a crashing noise. The victim spotted two of the suspects outside and gave chase.
Deputies, who had already been called, were checking out a suspiciously parked car that contained one of the three suspects, when the other two came running their way with the homeowner in pursuit.
They denied any crimes at their arraignment.
Trevor Bird, Mia Walker and Andre Johnson are being held on $50,000 bond each.
