SHERMAN TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A motorcyclist is hospitalized at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo after slamming into the side of a car on Shimmel Road in Sherman Township.
St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies say 63-year-old Mark Stephenson of Mendon was traveling northbound when the collision happened before 10 p.m. Thursday. Investigators say the 16-year-old driver of the southbound car was attempting a left turn.
The teenager was later cited for failure to yield.
Stephenson was wearing a helmet. The teenager was wearing a seat belt.
