TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 61-year-old woman from Texas Township was killed and two others injured when Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies say their two cars collided at South 8th Street and West S Avenue.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene in Texas Township before 3 p.m. Saturday.
They say the female driver was eastbound on S Avenue and failed to stop at the stop sign. Her car rolled into the path of a car that had the right of way headed south on 8th Street. The vehicle was struck broadside, resulting in fatal injuries.
The two occupants of the other car were both rushed to an area hospital.
No names have been released.
