KALAMAZOO COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s investigators have released the names of two people who died in separate traffic crashes over the weekend.
Ethan Leasure, 26, was driving a delivery truck for Ed’s Bread northbound on Portage Road Saturday at around 7 a.m. The Vicksburg native drifted over the center line and went off the pavement on the opposite side of the road. He then struck a car parked in a driveway and a tree.
Leasure was dead at the scene.
Iryna Jones, 61, was also found dead at the scene after sheriff’s deputies say her Saturn failed to stop at a stop sign at 8th Street and S Avenue at 2:45 p.m. The native of Kalamazoo was hit in the driver’s side by a Buick.
The other driver and his wife, a couple from Mattawan, suffered minor injuries.
Both crashes remain under investigation.
