BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Weather permitting, the first hot air balloon launch is scheduled for Thursday night at Kellogg Airport, as the Field of Flight event enters day two of its six-day run.
Forecasters are predicting rain storms in west Michigan on Thursday, but they may be able to get the launch in before the weather arrives.
There will be a kids tent with activities, giveaways and other activities.
Spokesman Bretten Bailey said there will also be a scheduled band performance and other regular features including the midway, the vendors, the FMX motorcycle stunt team and the Great Lakes Timber Show.
Bailey said today admittance will be free, but there will be a $5 charge for parking.
