BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Gov. Rick Snyder visited Battle Creek on Thursday and did not come empty handed.
Snyder’s mission was to visit Kellogg Community College to announce that they would be receiving $2.2 million for upgrades at their Regional Manufacturing Technology Center.
He also visited The Western Michigan University School of Aviation to get a look at their plans to use a $14.9 million capital improvement grant to expand their facilities.
Snyder said it’s all plugging gaps in the workforce that will help the economy to expand.
Snyder also got a chance to meet and talk with some of the Thunderbirds, who arrived at the aviation school at about the same time.
They flew in. Snyder drove.
