KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A mugging in the 600 block of West Vine Street has sent a Portage man to the hospital with injuries early Saturday.
The victim was reported lying down on the ground by a citizen at about 3:30 a.m.
The 31-year-old male victim told responding officers that he had been confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The victim may have been pistol whipped.
He was transported to Bronson Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening head injury.
The victim described his attacker as a thin male in a red shirt. The other robber may have acted as a lookout.
