BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A burglar who broke into a home in the 100 block of South Woodrow Avenue in Battle Creek early Saturday is in custody, captured because he was still driving one of the cars taken from the property.
There may be others who were involved who are still at large because a second vehicle was also taken. It has since been recovered.
Officers got a 911 call from the victim, and approached one of the stolen vehicles after the robbery.
A 20-year-old suspect jumped out and fled on foot. He was chased down, busted and booked into the Calhoun County Jail for home invasion and resisting arrest.
