INDIANAPOLIS (WKZO-AM) — The Indiana winner of that $536-million Mega-Ball lottery has come forward to get their prize, but they will remain a mystery.
A spokesperson for the winners surfaced on Friday and would only say that it’s a family of four from Hamilton County, Indiana. They have set up a corporation to mask their identity.
They opted for the cash payout which was $378-million until the taxes took a share. It was $271-million that finally went into the corporate bank account.
At $478-million, the Powerball jackpot that could be given away tonight is nearly as big as that one. Lottery official Randy Miller says it’s the second biggest Powerball jackpot this year.
The latest winner of the Powerball Lottery in Michigan was Julie Leach of Three Rivers, who received her $310-million last September and has kept a low profile since.
Michigan jackpot winners are required to come forward. The law is different in Indiana.
