BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A firefighter suffered a knee injury while putting out a burning vacant house in Battle Creek.
The fire was reported near Oneita Street North and Greenwood Avenue after 1 a.m. Friday. Firefighters say they were able to keep the flames contained to the first floor of the residence.
Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
The fire caused an estimated $2,000 damage.
