MATTAWAN (WKZO-AM) — An Upjohn heir and former executive has been accused by a former employee with sexual harassment in a federal suit filed in California.
William Parfet, the former CEO at MPI Research in Mattawan was named in the federal suit by Shuang Zhang, who claims that Parfet is the father of her children in the suit. She is demanding unspecified damages.
She claims he has refused to provide child support and fired her when she cut him off sexually.
She says the matter has resulted in her being depressed and admitted to psychological care twice.
Parfet’s Attorney, Nancy Abell issued a statement saying they plan a vigorous defense.
Parfet was named as one of the local philanthropists planning to invest in the proposed Foundation for Excellence, a $70 million dollar gift to the City of Kalamazoo.
