KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A male found unresponsive early Sunday in the 1200 block of East Alcott Street has now died from his injuries.
Investigators are hoping an autopsy will reveal the cause of death.
He had suffered a head injury, but they plan toxicology testing too, and that could take between six and eight weeks to be completed. 48-year-old Gerardo Santiago Martinez, a Mexican national, was initially identified by his distinctive white cowboy boots.
He had been at a party on Lake Street the night before, but they aren’t sure what happened to him after he left that party at midnight.
They are still interested in hearing from the public if they have pertinent information.
