KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Three people are in custody and a fourth is on the run after a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer on patrol checked the license plate on a suspicious vehicle and learned it had been stolen.
It was parked at the Denny’s on Cork Street on Wednesday.
One of the suspects came out of the business and got into the vehicle and was arrested. Two others were captured inside.
A search of the stolen van turned up a loaded handgun, a shotgun and suspected methamphetamine, packaging equipment and digital scales.
An 18-year-old was arrested for possession of stolen property and drug charges. Additional charges may be sought against the others.
