KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 69-year-old from White Pigeon is being treated at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo after Michigan State Police say he crashed his motorcycle along Gleason Road in St. Joseph County’s Fabius Township Sunday.
Witnesses told troopers that John Benson just appeared to lose control of the bike and crashed.
He was taken to a hospital in Three Rivers, then was airlifted to Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
The hospital says he is now listed in fair condition.
Police say alcohol was not a factor. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
