COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Three Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an unusual complaint late Tuesday.
A call came into 911 dispatch at about 8:45 p.m. that a naked man had broken into a home on County Road 388 in Columbia Township. By the time deputies arrived, the 23-year-old had fled the home and was hiding in a nearby outbuilding.
They had a nice jumpsuit waiting for him at the jail, where the man from Bloomingdale was booked for home invasion, malicious destruction of property, resisting and obstructing and indecent exposure.
No explanation for his lack of clothing was mentioned in the news release.
