WHITE PIGEON (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police are investigating a wreck between a vehicle and pedestrian accident that has hospitalized a White Pigeon woman.
She was struck from behind as she walked along U.S. 131 near U.S. 12 in southern St. Joseph County late Monday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Kalan Rider, who was transported to Three Rivers Healthcare, then airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo by West Michigan Air Care. Her condition has not been released.
The driver of the truck, 37-year-old Adam Marble of Plainwell, was not injured.
Troopers say alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor.
