WASHINGTON DC (WKZO AM/FM) – A nonprofit group that monitors how safe the nation’s hospitals are has released its findings.
82 hospitals in Michigan were graded, with 35 receiving an ‘A’.
That’s almost 44 percent of hospitals that were evaluated.
Both hospitals in Kalamazoo, Bronson Methodist and Ascension Borgess, received the top mark from the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Group.
Bronson Battle Creek received a ‘B’ from the group.
Hospitals were rated on categories such as infection rates, surgical errors, patient injuries, ER wait times and patient satisfaction.
