BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Battle Creek woman has been stripped of the custody of her children and arrested after allegedly scalding one of them with a hot liquid on Monday at their home on West Coolidge Street.
The 40-year-old was allegedly angry with her 12-year-old son for an inappropriate text to his older brother’s girlfriend.
Battle Creek police said the boy revealed his burns to his dad, who lives in Tennessee, on a video chat. The father called 911 long distance to report the incident.
The woman was arrested Tuesday at work for aggravated felonious assault. Her boys have been handed over to their grandmother.
