KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — They snipped the ribbon on the newest facility at WMU which should make the college experience a lot nicer for students who live in the Valley dorms.
WMU President John Dunn says the new Valley Dining Hall is much more than just a fancy cafeteria. The 38-million dollar structure is where memories will be made.
He says it will probably become a favorite spot for the staff as well.
Students will have a choice of cuisines and will get to see their food being prepared for them, which is apparently a thing with millennials. It is primarily designed to provide food services to students who live in the Valley Residence Hall Complex which includes 12 Residence Halls.
There will even be a special kitchen for students with food allergies.
The university has also re-landscaped the Valley Pond, giving students something placid to look at while they are chowing down.
