STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — An investigation is underway to determine how a fire began on the outside of a house at 225 North Fourth St. in Sturgis early Sunday Morning.
Firefighters dispatched to the home at about 4:33 a.m. found the flames running up the side of the home and a man with a garden hose trying to put it out.
Fire Crews were able to establish that there was no one inside the home and made short order of extinguishing the flames, which by this time had gotten into the attic.
The fire caused extensive damage to the exterior of the home. There were no injuries.
