KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The families of the two victims in last evening’s shootings have been notified and the names of the victims released.
One of the victims is Marsavious Frazier, a 17 year-old Kalamazoo resident and Kalamazoo Public Schools student.
The other teen is Daqarion Hunter, also a 17 year-old Kalamazoo resident who would have been 18 in a couple of weeks.
Public Safety confirms that autopsies have been scheduled but say it may take six to eight weeks for the results to come back.
Public Safety sends their condolences to the families and friends of these young men.

KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Two 17-year-old boys from Kalamazoo have been shot to death and Public Safety is asking for the public’s help to solve the crime.
Dispatch first got the report that someone had been shot at about 9 p.m. in an alley just north of the 1500 block of Clinton Street.
Arriving officers found the two teens suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

They are calling initial reports that it was an ‘officer involved shooting’ inaccurate, saying their only involvement has been to render aid and investigate their deaths.
