PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Portage Public Safety was dispatched mid-morning Wednesday to the Milham Meadows complex at Milham and Oakland to handle complaints of a fight in progress.
Before they got there, they learned that a 23-year-old man had been stabbed and the other was already on the run.
Officers canvassed the area but were unable to find the suspect.
Detectives say the violence was apparently part of an ongoing feud and they were unable to get the stabbing victim to cooperate with investigators.
He was treated for a non-life threatening laceration.
Detectives are asking for any information they can get from the public that will help with the investigation.
