KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM)– Saturday night lights of all kinds at Waldo Stadium as the Broncos beat North Carolina Central 70-21 on Communiversity Night.
Quarterback Zach Terrell threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns.
Corey Davis caught seven patches for 150 yards, finishing the night with 4005 career yards, moving up to No. 15 in the all-time FBS list.
The game didn’t end until after midnight because of a thunderstorm that forced the evacuation of the stadium before halftime.
After the game resumed, it was all Broncos as they scored four times and the Eagles did not score again. It was the first time in 20 years that WMU scored 70 points in a game.
Next weekend, the Broncos head back to Illinois for another test against a Big Ten school when they take on the Fighting Illini in Champaign-Urbana.
