PORTER TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Cass County Sheriff’s investigators say three teenagers suffered injuries after their car slammed into a tree in Porter Township.
Seventeen-year-old Nicholas Meuzelaar of Edwardsburg was attempting to get around a curve on Bellows Road when the crash happened before 9 p.m. Sunday.
Meuzelaar was flown to a hospital in Elkhart, Ind.
Meuzelaar’s two passengers, 16-year-old Jacob Cronin and 17-year-old Taylor Hairell, suffered serious injuries.
Deputies say all three occupants were wearing seat belts. It’s not clear if drugs or alcohol had any role in the incident.
