KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The City of Kalamazoo and County Health officials have lifted the precautionary boil water advisory issued last Monday for homes affected by the water main break near the intersection of E. Stockbridge Avenue/Shakespeare Avenue.
The area was generally described ashaving Lake Street to the north, Schuster Avenue to the east, Clinton Avenue to the south, and Byron Street to the west.(see map)
Homeowners in that area are now free to use City water for consumption as well as all other purposes.
Bacteriological sampling within the affected area verified that the water is safe to drink.
