BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo woman is being held in the Calhoun County Jail after she allegedly opened fire at another woman because of a dispute over a man.
All the bullets missed.
The drive-by happened Saturday right around 8 a.m. near 230 Riverside Drive. The cool-headed target of the shooter managed to not only get a good description of the car but the license number and relay it to police.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies found the car near Dickman Road and Avenue A. Units from the city and the county converged on the vehicle for a felony stop.
The passenger and suspected shooter was arrested for attempted murder and two gun felonies.
The driver, who was also from Kalamazoo, is being held on separate charges. Officers were able to recover the gun.
