KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Tuesday is the last day to register to vote if you want to participate in what has been the strangest and most-turbulent presidential contest in modern history.
Most folks in Michigan are already registered, but some are not.
Kalamazoo Township Trustee Pamela Brown Goodacre said she can’t believe it when she hears people say they will be staying home on Election Day. She says it should be a crime, because it’s such an important civic duty.
Kalamazoo Township Treasurer George Cochran said the presidential race is just one of dozens of races that will be decided on Election Day.
“Just because you don’t like the top two candidates doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be voting and voting for the rest of the people on the tickets and any projects that are on there,” Cochran said.
You need to be 18 years old by election day, take some ID to your local governmental office or any Secretary of State’s office by the end of business.
