KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo woman is heading to prison after she crashed her vehicle on the U.S. 131 business loop back in April, killing her boyfriend’s four-year-old son.
Nicole Camden will spend at least the next two years in prison. The maxixum is 15 years.
The 24-year-old cut a deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to driving drunk causing death in exchange for having three others dropped. Police said she had a blood-alcohol count that was twice the legal limit when she lost control on the dangerous curve on Kalamazoo’s north side and rolled her vehicle on April 1.
The centrifugal force ejected 4-year-old Jayden Johnson through a window. He died from the resulting injuries.
