KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A traffic stop on Kalamazoo’s northwest side turned into a drug bust, then a bigger drug bust when the arrest of an apparent crack customer led to the arrest of the alleged drug dealer.
investigation began with a traffic stop on Cobb Avenue near Mable Street at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. A 49-year-old Plainwell resident was caught in possession of crack cocaine.
A public safety officer followed up and was able to track the drugs back to a 27-year-old Kalamazoo man. He was found and arrested in the 1100 block of Douglas Avenue.
Police say the suspected drug dealer was caught with an additional quantity of crack and a digital scale. He was booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail for possession with intent to deliver.
