PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — We don’t know what he had against office equipment, but a Portage teen is in hot water after he trashed the Office Max on South Westnedge Avenue early Saturday morning.
Public Safety responded to an alarm at the store at 3:46 a.m. indicating that the windows had been broken. They found several smashed panes and the teenager inside, damaging and smashing store merchandise.
Officers went in through the broken glass and took the teen into custody.
They say it appears he acted alone.
He was booked into the juvenile home for breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property.
