UNDATED (WKZO-AM) — The switch over from daylight savings this weekend in Michigan could give you an extra hour of sleep this weekend, unless you have a big clock collection or a lot of old VCR’s and electronic equipment that doesn’t adjust for daylight savings automatically.
The experts suggest that you also take some extra time to check your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are working.
Swap out the batteries if they have them.
They also propose double checking your emergency kit to make sure its adequately supplied with batteries, first aid supplies, some non-perishable food, a radio, a flashlight and a supply of water.
They say if you don’t have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors or a first aid kit, get them.
