BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — It took 18 firefighters “several hours” to put out an early Tuesday fire that destroyed an unoccupied two-story house on Oneita Street in Battle Creek.
Crews, according to a press release, found heavy flames coming from the back of the building when they arrived at the scene after 2 a.m.
Investigators are trying to determine what started the blaze. There were no injuries reported.
