KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University head football coach P.J. Fleck says his Broncos will not be thinking about finishing their season unblemished when they hit the field at Waldo Stadium to play Toledo on Friday.
“1-0 in the Toledo season, that’s all we want to do,” Fleck said. “One-game seasons, this one’s a championship one-game season, but, if you add them up and you want to be a champion, every single week has to be a championship game for you.”
Western, which enters the game 21st in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, is touting an 11-0 record for the first time in program history.
Alabama is the nation’s only other undefeated team.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. on Z-96.5. The winner will play Ohio next Friday in the MAC Championship Game in Detroit.
