KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM)– Restaurants churches and homeless shelters all over the area made sure that no one had to go without a turkey dinner this Thanksgiving once again this year.
They served over a thousand at Theo’s and Stacy’s downtown in Kalamazoo. The Gospel Mission had its annual meal.
About a hundred volunteers at the North Park Reformed Church put together over 2000 meals and then distributed them to shut-ins, the elderly and the poor.
The Volunteers say they get as much out of it, or more than the recipients, and many of them have made it part of their holiday tradition.
