KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says it’s zeroing in on a thief who stole thousands of dollars worth of tires from at least one local car dealership.
Sheriff Rick Fuller says the man was spotted in surveillance footage taking the tires from Cole Krum Chevrolet in Schoolcraft.
“When we were able to put out the video of the suspect in the act of committing the crime, citizens contacted us within minutes,” Fuller said.
It was those tips that led deputies to stolen property at a home in Pavilion Township.
The suspect has not yet been publicly identified, but investigators believe he could also be responsible for similar thefts in Galesburg, Vicksburg and possibly Allegan County.
