KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The 4-year-old boy injured when he and his 2-year-old sister were struck by a hit and run driver at Egleston and Race Streets Tuesday night has been discharged from Bronson Methodist to continue his recovery at home.
His sister was released earlier this week.
The search for the driver who struck them continues. Public Safety says they are looking for a Dodge or Chrysler mini-van from the 2001 to 2007 model years. It’s possibly brown or burgundy and may have a damaged mirror.
Their dog turned up at his previous owner’s door and was also headed home after a check-up at the vets.
A video was released of the incident at the family’s request, hoping that it might lead to a tip identifying the suspect, who is shown plowing through the family without braking.
