UNDATED (WKZO-AM) — Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State Police will be working in concert beginning on Monday to tighten up enforcement on the I-94 corridor through Friday.
They will mainly be focusing on commercial vehicles, but also watching other drivers.
The “Eyes on ‘94” campaign is a reaction to an annual spike in traffic crashes at this time of the year.
Troopers and Motor Carrier Officers will be watching for speeding, texting, seat belt scofflaws and distracted and dangerous driving.
The regional effort is actually part of a larger national campaign called “Toward Zero Deaths” to reduce traffic fatalities, which have been on the increase in recent years.
