KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM)– A boil water alert has been issued for a strip of western Kalamazoo Township that may have been impacted by a loss of pressure in the water main that serves the area.
The fear is that contamination may have entered the system. They won’t know until they test and that can take up to three days.
The affected area includes the neighborhoods off 14th Street north of the U.S. 131 Business loop, and then westward between 14th and 12th Streets on D Avenue.
They recommend you either boil the water you plan to drink for the next few days or buy it in bottles until tests can be conducted. See the map.
