UNDATED (WZKO-AM) — A winter storm warning will remain in effect until 4 a.m. Monday with more snow predicted, making already bad road conditions even worse.
Predictions are the southwest portion of the state will get an additional seven to 10 inches of snow, not from a lake effect system that blew through the past few days, but from a regular storm sweeping across the northern United States.
Some activities have cancelled. If you must go out, drive carefully and take your time and don’t forget to buckle up.
Icy roads and dangerous conditions may not be enough to keep downhill skiers at home. Bittersweet Ski resort and Crystal Mountain opened this weekend, happy to finally see the season begin.
Cannonsburg plans to open sometime this coming week. The long-range forecast suggests they may have snow at least through the critical winter holidays for the west Michigan tourist destinations.
