KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 26-year-old from Kalamazoo suspected in an armed robbery at a convenience store on Ravine Road has been ordered held on $50,000 bond.
Prosecutors claim that DonJuan Lockett Jr. walked into Tali’s market at Ravine and Nichols Tuesday morning, pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
He then exited to the parking lot where he allegedly forced a woman to drive him away. After she crashed nearby, and the robber fled on foot, a K-9 was deployed and tracked him down.
He is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail until a preliminary hearing on an armed robbery charge can be held.
