CASS COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A residential fire in Marcellus has resulted in a Christmas day tragedy.
Village firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to respond to a report of smoke and flames coming from the home.
Crews went in to battle the fire and discovered the body of 63-year-old Gordon Booz inside.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. He was the only occupant of the home.
