KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two bank robberies in Kalamazoo that happened last week remain under investigation.
The first one happened at the Chase Bank in downtown Kalamazoo on Wednesday. A man walked in wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a mask, claiming he had a weapon. He made off with an undetermined amount of money. The second robbery happened at a bank on Portage St. near Stockbridge Ave. Friday afternoon. A man entered demanding cash, was given an undisclosed amount and then fled the scene.
Surveillance photos of both robberies have been released and there is no indication at this time that the two bank robberies are connected. No injuries were reported in the two incidents.
