KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — More than 100 Kalamazoo Public School students are switching from virtual back to in-person learning for the second trimester.
A spokesperson says the district received 132 requests for students to return to in-person learning when the next trimester begins on November 29.
Of those 45 are elementary school students, 35 in middle school, and 52 in high school.
About 3% of Kalamazoo Public School’s more than 12,000 students are learning virtually.
A school spokesperson said whether students are in-person or virtual doesn’t impact the amount of funding the district receives.
Parents who are moving their kids back to the classroom will learn their school assignments by November 15.
