KPS to extend mask mandate through upcoming second trimester

KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Schools officials say that they will continue the mask mandate through the upcoming second trimester.

The announcement was made to parents in a letter sent out on Monday.

District officials wanted to give parents sufficient time to decide whether to continue with the KPS Virtual School program, or to transition their child into in-person learning.

The second trimester will begin on November 29^th and end on March 11^th.

The deadline for parents to decide is 11 pm on Sunday, October 24^th.
