ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Despite having a bye week, the University of Michigan Wolverines moved up a spot in the latest Coaches Poll and are now ranked as the number-six team in the country.
Michigan State University got a 20-15 win over Indiana to improve to 7-and-0. They jumped two spots in the Coaches Poll and are now at number-seven.
There is a lot of movement in this week’s Top-25 Coaches’ Poll. Georgia received all 65 first-place votes to remain atop the rankings after moving to 7-and-0 with a win over Kentucky. Oklahoma is now second, followed by Cincinnati, Alabama, and Ohio State.
Previous number-two Iowa plummeted nine spots to 11th after falling at home to unranked Purdue.
With the University of Michigan now sixth, Michigan State, Penn State, Oklahoma State, and Oregon round out the top-10.
Western Michigan University routed Kent State 64-31, Central Michigan University defeated Toledo in overtime 26-23 and Eastern Michigan University lost in a shootout against Ball State, 38-31.
