MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WKZO AM/FM) – Greg Joseph hit a 54-yard field goal as time expired to give the Minnesota Vikings a 19-17 win over the Detroit Lions at US Bank Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Detroit recovered an Alexander Mattison fumble at the 20-yard-line with under two minutes to play in the game. DeAndre Swift scored a touchdown three plays later, and Jared Goff hit KhaDarel Hodge on the two-point conversion to put the Lions up 17-16 with 37 seconds to play.
The Lions defense then gave up three Kirk Cousins completions that set up Joseph’s game-winner.
Jared Goff had 203 passing yards and an interception in the loss for the Lions, who are 0-and-5 for the first time since 2015.
